| dc.description.abstract | This comparative study examines the role of perceptions of corruption on anti-corruption efforts in Bulgaria and Romania and the role of the European Union in this effort since their accession in 2007 until today. The study focuses on the role of anti-corruption protests in the two countries and how these popular movements contributed to the creation of new political parties. | |
